It’s been almost a year and a half since I started this blog and it’s been one great big adventure. I’ve learned a lot, but one of the biggest takeaways is this:
Creating a website doesn’t have to cost a fortune - in fact, you don’t have to spend a dime.
I had to start lean and mean. The success of my blog has been mostly fueled by passion and hustle. Let’s just say this year I had a lot more time than money. I’ve talked to you guys before about how to be a bootstrap blogger, but today I want to show you something you can right now to turn your dream into reality.
I psyched myself out for years wanting to start a blog. I looked at the polished and professional websites of my favorite bloggers and wanted to do it myself. But, it all felt so intimidating - I didn’t really know where to begin. I thought I needed to have a savings ready to invest in my new business, that I’d need six months worth of blog posts stored on my computer, and a few thousand followers on social media before I was “allowed” to start one myself.
Boy, was I wrong.
You don’t need a 3 foot long checklist of things completed before you take action. There’s only one thing you need to start building your dreams today - ready for it…
A blog. You just need a blog.
Now, don’t get me wrong, whole books have been written on the options available and what choice is the best. For the sake of brevity and usefulness I’m going to skip all that and just show you what I did.
